Brass Snuffer Weight for Duplex Oil Lamp

The Brass Snuffer Weight for Duplex Oil Lamp is a traditional replacement accessory designed for compatible quality Duplex double wick burners. The weight hangs from the extinguisher arm and helps operate the snuffer mechanism used to extinguish the lamp flame.

Snuffer weights would traditionally have been a feature of Duplex and double wick oil lamps, but many original examples have been lost over the years. This replacement provides a practical finishing touch when repairing or restoring a traditional Duplex oil lamp and helps recreate the original burner arrangement.

The snuffer weight measures 28mm high and is supplied complete with a suitable split ring for attaching it to the extinguisher arm.
