We recently had the pleasure of restoring a pair of striking Art Deco lamps for a customer who wanted to preserve their timeless beauty while ensuring they were safe and functional for modern use. These vintage pieces had seen better days, but with expert care and attention, we brought them back to life.

What We Did

1. Careful Cleaning & Restoration

We began by giving both lamps a thorough yet gentle clean to remove years of dust and grime. This revealed the original finish and detail work, showcasing the elegant lines and bold geometry typical of the Art Deco style.

2. Replacement of Bulb Holders and Galleries

To ensure safety and functionality, we replaced the old bulb holders and galleries. The new fittings maintain the period aesthetic while meeting today’s electrical standards.

3. Complete Rewiring

Both lamps were fully rewired with modern cabling. This not only improves safety but also ensures long-lasting performance. We took care to keep the rewiring discreet and in harmony with the original design.

4. Finishing Touches – New Art Deco Star Shades

To complete the transformation, we added two brand new Art Deco-style star shades. These distinctive shades elevate the lamps, highlighting their vintage charm and giving them a fresh, sophisticated look.
