A heritage film project where authenticity, detail and historical accuracy all mattered.

Project Overview

John Moncrieff supplied custom glass shades and lighting components for Tommy’s Honour, supporting the creation of historically accurate interiors within this period film set in 19th-century Scotland.

This was not a standard lighting supply project. The production required fittings that reflected the materials, styles and practical lighting of the time, while still working effectively on camera.

This project demonstrates where specialist supply creates real value: bespoke glass lighting components that reinforce historical authenticity and support visual storytelling.

Scope of Supply

• Custom glass shades for period lighting
• Specialist components for heritage fittings
• Glass elements selected for historical accuracy
• Support for film set and prop departments

Why This Project Matters

In heritage films like Tommy’s Honour, lighting is a key part of the visual environment. Every detail contributes to how believable the setting feels.

Period accuracy is critical. Lighting needs to reflect the technology and materials of the time, without compromising the visual quality required for film production.

The right lighting solution supports both — delivering authentic detail while enhancing the atmosphere of each scene.

What Clients Take From This

• We support heritage and period film productions with bespoke glass lighting
• We supply components that align with historical accuracy
• We understand the importance of detail in period storytelling
• We add value where authenticity, craftsmanship and visual quality all matter

Quote from the Project
